After struggling on the streets for 6 years, and desperate for help, Paul brought himself to us when he was just 10 years old.

The Girls' School is home to about 225 bright, wonderful girls aged from 11 to 17.
More than 200 of these girls come from very poor backgrounds and many have no family but you would not know this from the smiling faces you see when you visit the school. The school is their home; they are fed, clothed, educated, inspired and cared for here. A vital element of this care is one-to-one counselling to help them cope with the problems they have left behind (often horrific) and possibly will face again on their return.

The school prides itself on its educational achievements but more so the fostering in the children of confidence, self-respect and integrity to carry forward to their future lives. Teaching these values is key to the future success of these girls and their wider community.
The Girls' School is a happy place but with a crumbling infrastructure:
- The dormitories are very cramped and very basic.
- The toilet and shower block has no hot water. In fact cold water is often in short supply with the girls having to fetch it from the local river
- The sports facilities are a small patch of grass and dirt with some goal posts and netball hoops- few children have trainers ( but this doesn't stop the fun)
- Computers are virtually non-existent and text books in short supply
We desperately need help to fund these girls' education and provide them with the basic comforts and facilities they deserve and to fulfil this need for future generations to come.

Here Come The Girls!
We have long been striving towards providing girls with similar opportunities to the boys in our Restart. We are really happy to report the beginnings of this new venture with the first little girls entering our doors!
